First of all, it’s important to recognize that you are not playing on the PGA Tour. Now that may be obvious, but sometimes when we watch the pros play on TV, we attempt the shots they make seem easy. This is a costly mistake as it relates to your score.
If you are trying to break 100 for the first time, attempting to hit shots like an “expert” can cause one bad shot to lead to another after another.
You have to approach the game with a different mindset!
In this video, Bert Ingley puts the strategies from The Serious Hacker’s Guide to Breaking 100 into play on the course as he attacks the first milestone in his 4-month old beginner golf journey…Breaking 100.
Bert’s approach is simple:
- Play from the forward tees
- Hit 6-iron or smaller off the tee
- Get it on the green in regulation plus 1
- Two-putt to finish the hole.
In this 4 hole sampling from his round you’ll get to see the great, the good, the bad and the ugly!
